Traffic Light Communication fan
£3.50
These fans come in traffic light colours and show happy as green, unsure as amber and sad or angry as red. These fans are simple but extremely efficient in succinctly helping your child or for adults and teens to use with parents/ careers/ friends and partners whether or not they feel able to talk and to quickly show how an autistic/ semi-verbal or mute person feels.
These could also be used as part of an autistic meltdown routine for autistic people to give a quick snapshot of how they are feeling to help who they are with know a meltdown is coming/ they are feeling overstimulated.
I have worked as part of a SEN department and I myself am autistic and found these really useful to use when I worked with other autistic students at work. I liked them so much that I decided to source them for my shop so that you could use them too.
I like the fact that they are in the fan design too and they make great bookmarks. I use mine in my reading book, which I usually carry with me a lot so I know that I always have these to hand. They could work equally well being kept in a school planner. This tool is very useful for travelling as well, but please note, like all card sets, that these fans are made of glossy card stock so with force they will break. However, if they are being used to hold up and show emotions/ being kept in a planner or pencil case they would be fine!
